Online therapy uses common technologies including phone, video or email to provide therapeutic support and intervention. In order to access this service you must be 19+ years old, have access to a webcam and fast internet. Video calls are recommended, as opposed to telephone or email, in order to provide as close to an in-person experience as possible. Due to legal and ethical regulations, this service is only eligible for California residents at this time.
Is Online Therapy the right modality for me?
This option for therapy is beneficial if you prefer accessing services from the comfort of your own home, or if you travel frequently. It is also optimal if you have health issues that prevent you from attending in-person therapy or if you live in a rural area where therapy services are not as available.

DBT is a powerful form of treatment developed by Marsha Linehan in 1993. It assists individuals who may have experienced trauma, struggle with regulating emotions, relationship problems and self-harming / self-sabotaging tendencies. DBT is an evidence based treatment that addresses a variety of mental health diagnoses including PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Eating Disorders and more.
It is a ‘skill based’ model that includes a weekly hour of ‘skills training’ along with a weekly hour of Individual Therapy. Therapy involves homework assigned weekly, as well as a Diary Card to track behaviors that are being targeted to reduce.
This is a time-limited program that operates in a 6-month time frame.
I am registered as a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician™
Online Therapy is not recommended for all individuals or treatment issues. First step would be to schedule a free consultation to determine whether this is the type of service for you.
I do not accept insurance at this time. Many insurance companies give out-of-network reimbursements for mental health services. I encourage you to check in with your insurance provider to see if this is an option for you. Or look on Psychology Today for a provider who is covered by your insurance.
